Quickstart Guide
Welcome to Composition Helper!
This guide will walk you through the steps to analyze and improve the composition of your images.
Use the "Next" and "Prev" buttons to navigate.
Step 1: Upload Your Image
Click the Upload Image button or drag and drop an image onto the canvas to get started. You can upload multiple images and switch between them using the "Prev" and "Next" buttons.
Step 2: Set the Focus Point
The Focus Point is the main subject of your image. By default, 'Focus' control is active. Simply click on your image to place the focus point. A precise focus point is key for accurate analysis.
Step 3: Choose & Adjust a Guide
Select a guide from the right panel. A blue overlay will appear on your image. Use the Active Control toggle to switch to 'Guide' mode. You can also simply click on the guide overlay to toggle between these two modes.
Tip: Some guides can be rotated or mirrored. After selecting a guide, click its button again to change the orientation.
Step 4: Choose an Aspect Ratio
Use the Aspect Ratio dropdown to select a crop. This is useful for framing your image for different purposes, like social media posts or standard photo prints.
Original: Matches your uploaded image.
1:1 (Square): Ideal for profile pictures and Instagram.
16:9 & 9:16: Widescreen video and social media stories.
3:2 & 4:3: Common digital camera formats.
4:5 & 3:4: Standard portrait and art print sizes.
7:5 & 5:4: Common landscape and art print sizes.
Step 5: Crop & Export
With guide control active, you can drag the guide to reposition it and use the corner handle to resize it. Align the guide's key lines or intersections with your focus point.
When you're happy with the placement, use the Crop to Guide button to create a new, well-composed version of your image. Then, export your work!
